Blog Writing Challenge Day 5: A recent random act of kindness I did and the inspiration behind it...

This is a short post as I’m struggling to find time to write. I thought it was better to be a short blog though than none at all so here goes.........

On a few occasions, I’ve replied to tweets from my local fire brigade about cutting off wedding rings when they’ve got to tight. I’ve always offered my services (for free) to fix various rings, but as yet I haven’t had anyone actually take me up on my offer. This evening though, I got an email from a previous client’s sister asking if there was any way that her wedding ring (that I made) and her enagagement ring (that I hadn’t made) could be fixed following having to be cut off in hospital. The wonderful thing about precious metals is that in most cases they can be re-shaped and soldered, so I was able to give her the news that she was hoping for. I’m sure I’ll be writing a longer blog about it all at a later date, but it obviously fits with today’s promt so I wanted to include it. (The photo is of some different rings as  I haven’t had chance to ask my client if she minds me posting the photos of hers yet).
